Clay County is seeking a dynamic Benefits and Wellness Manager to assist in the development of the County’s programs and be responsible for the delivery and daily administration of the County’s health, retirement and pension plans, and wellness programs.

Oversee the administration of each of the group insurance programs: medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and long-term disability.

Oversees Cobra administration with vendors, insurers and participants.

Analyze the flow of benefits data and develop internal procedures, guidance and training for staff to facilitate timely and accurate update of employee and retiree information.

Maintain the configuration and data set-up of the applicable software related to benefits administration for active employees and retirees.

Advises and assists employees, retirees and covered family members regarding benefit plan requirements and eligibility referring requests to plan administrators as necessary.

Oversees the administration of the annual open enrollment for plans and communicates plan changes to employees.

Administers annual health fair and any immunization programs.

Liaise with insurance brokers and consultants and assist Human Resources and Risk Management Director with any review of contract renewal negotiations and financial analysis.

Creates internal and external reports for projects, audits, and monthly reconciliation needs.

Will be responsible for the creation of wellness program initiatives
